  • Moo Canoes offers relaxed, self-guided boating experiences on London’s waterways. Whether you’re paddling a canoe or enjoying time on the water with friends, it’s all about slowing down, exploring, and doing something a bit different.

  • Not at all. Our experiences are beginner-friendly, and we’ll give you a full briefing before you set off so you feel confident and in control.

  • Most bookings last between 1–2 hours, giving you plenty of time to explore at your own pace without feeling rushed.

  • All bookings include:

    • Your canoe hire

    • Life jackets

    • A full safety and steering briefing

    • Suggested routes to explore

    We keep things simple so you can focus on enjoying the water.

  • Our canoes are designed for small groups - typically 2–3 people per canoe depending on the setup.


  • Yes - Moo Canoes is great for groups. Whether it’s a birthday, team day out, or just getting friends together, we can accommodate multiple boats at once.

  • We can arrange private group bookings depending on availability. If you’re planning something special, get in touch and we’ll help make it happen.

  • Absolutely. It’s a brilliant way to get people outdoors, working together, and doing something hands-on without it feeling forced or overly structured.

  • Light rain won’t stop play - it’s all part of the adventure. We recommend bringing appropriate clothing.

    If conditions are unsafe (e.g. high winds or extreme weather), we’ll contact you to reschedule.


  • We primarily operate during the warmer months, when conditions are best for being on the water. Availability may vary depending on weather and daylight.

    • Comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet

    • Flat shoes (no heels)

    • Weather-appropriate layers

  • A few good extras:

    • Water or soft drinks

    • Sunscreen on sunny days

    • A phone or camera (ideally waterproof or protected)


  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your booking to allow time for check-in and your safety briefing.

  • We recommend bringing only what you need. Storage may be limited, so it’s best to travel light.

  • Basic facilities are available nearby, but it’s best to plan ahead before setting off.


  • Yes - you’re welcome to bring your own refreshments, as long as you keep things safe and respectful on the water.

  • Alcohol policies may vary depending on location and licensing. We recommend checking in advance - safety always comes first.


  • Yes - safety is a top priority. All guests receive:

    • A safety briefing

    • Life jackets

    • Clear guidance on where to go

    We design the experience to be relaxed, controlled, and suitable for beginners.


  • Yes, but they must be supervised by an adult at all times. Age restrictions may apply depending on the activity.

  • Yes - we allow changes with sufficient notice. Please check your booking confirmation for full terms.

  • We’ll do our best to accommodate, but late arrivals may lose time on the water or, in some cases, miss their booking entirely.


Canoe Hire

  • Our canoes are wide and stable, making them ideal for beginners, couples, and small groups. You don’t need perfect balance - just a willingness to give it a go.

  • Most canoes hold 2–3 people comfortably, making them perfect for sharing the experience rather than going solo.

  • Not at all. Canoes are designed for steady, relaxed paddling. We’ll show you how to steer and paddle before you head out.

  • Yes - you can swap positions during your session if you’d like to share the paddling.

  • They’re ideal. Multiple canoes can head out together, making it a great shared experience while still giving each group their own space.

  • Canoes are more open, spacious, and social - you typically paddle together and face forward. If you’re after something relaxed and shared, canoeing is the way to go.


Kayak Hire

  • Yes - our kayaks are beginner-friendly, and we’ll give you a quick introduction before you set off.

  • Kayaks are typically single-person and more responsive, giving you more control and a slightly more active experience compared to canoes.


  • Possibly a little! Kayaking is closer to the water, and small splashes are part of the fun - but nothing extreme.

  • They’re a bit more hands-on, but many people find them easier to steer once they get going. It depends whether you prefer independence or a shared experience.

  • Yes - as long as you’re confident after the briefing. Our team will make sure you’re ready before you head out.

  • Definitely. If you want something slightly more active while still being fun and accessible, kayaking is a great option.

Paddle Board Hire

  • It’s easier than it looks! Most people get the hang of it quickly, especially in calm water. You can start on your knees and stand up when you feel ready.

  • Not at all. You can kneel or sit for the entire session if you prefer - it’s completely up to you.

  • Maybe - but that’s part of the fun! The water is usually calm, and we provide safety equipment so you can relax and enjoy it.

  • Wear something comfortable that you don’t mind getting wet. On warm days, swimwear is perfect - on cooler days, bring layers.

  • Yes - it’s great fun in groups, especially for something a bit more active and playful.

  • It can be! Paddle boarding is great for balance and core strength - but you can take it as easy or as active as you like.
